SERMON: August 7th, 2016 Psalm 46
Today Ken Hartung continued to address Pastor Dave’s previous sermon on “Why the Storms in Life, Lord?” He preached on Psalm 46 that can be our “anchor” in times of great difficulty. Where we need to first thank the Lord for His provision in any helpless situation before you even see it, and then “let God go to work; He will help in the morning dawn; just be still and know that He is God”. “It is in the most difficult, impossible situations that God does His best work.” Ken spoke also on 2 Kings 18-19 when the King of Assyria, Sennacherib went against the Southern Kingdom of Judah where Hezekiah was king. Hezekiah’s prayer can be found in 2 Kings 19:15, where Hezekiah prayed that God would deliver them from Sennacherib’s hand and God delivered them in verse 35.
