SERMON: December 29th, 2019 “Vision 20/20”

Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Proverbs 29:18 “ Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

“The real measure of our wealth is how much we would be worth if we lost all our money.” J.H. Howett

“We hear repeatedly that the Lord has a plan for us – and it’s good.  We’re instructed to seek it, embrace it, and live it.  We’re even told it’s the key to our future.  But what is it? …Whatever your view of the will of God, it can seem grand and unreachable…they [people] don’t understand the nature of the will of God, nor do they know how to find it.  And if you don’t understand these two things, you may fee insecure and directionless in your walk with God. …As we move forward in seeking to understand the nature of God’s will and how to find it, we must remember one truth – our God is a planner.  He is not a reactor.  He didn’t set this world in motion to be ruled by chance or wild, unchecked forces.  He didn’t create you to live without hope and purpose.  From beginning of time, God has been making plans for you and for me.”  Dr. Charles Stanley.

Nothing is by coincidence.  God wants us to come into His presence – to walk with Him, to hear Him.  The whole crutch of our faith is our relationship with God.  It isn’t between anyone else but you and God.  We will never know our “One More” unless we go into God’s presence.
