SERMON: February 24th, 2019 “I Will Praise You In This Storm”
When a storm comes, it can be a raging one but we need to offer a sacrifice of praise (Hebrews 13:15-16) which is not often easy within the storm. It pleases God for us to offer ourselves to Him, trusting in Him and His promises to His people. In 2 Kings Chapter 6, Elisha and his servant were in such a storm and it is easy for us as well as it was for the servant to forget that in the battle, God still surrounds us. We have to open our eyes to what is around us. ” For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12. We have to look at our situations and identify the problem and see the solution. We cannot become so engrossed in the problem that we cannot see that the solution is the Lord. Look to God! “When life gives you more than you can stand – kneel”.
