SERMON: February 9th, 2020 “Seeing is Believing…”
Everyone has heard the expression “I will believe it when I see it.” And how often do we do that? Thomas certainly said that in John 20:24-29 – but how can we give Thomas a bad rap when we can say the same thing? We may never see things – we certainly won’t be able to be everywhere all the time to experience everything, but is that going to prevent you from believing? Are you looking to “be pleased” when you come to Church? Or do you expect to see God? How can we forget that we serve a God that has sent His only Son to take all His wrath upon Himself that we should be held accountable for? How can we forget that we serve a Savior that gave up His kingship to be a baby and suffer and die for us? God is calling you to come – come when you are weak and weary, come when you are on the mountain – but come and believe!
