SERMON: September 3rd, 2017 “The Spirit Calls Us to the Most Holy Place”

Today Pastor Dave spoke from Hebrews 10:19-25 and asked the question, “Do you have the confidence to go into the Most Holy Place?  God’s Shekinah glory filled the temple and when the veil was torn when Jesus died on the cross, His glory was no longer defined by the temple.  God is everywhere and the Holy of Holiest is everywhere.  We can take great comfort in the fact that God is in us, that there are new mercies every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23) and that this is the day that the Lord has made (Psalm 118:24) and as Pastor Dave put it – we have been ‘set-up’.  God knows every situation and is sovereign over everything.  It isn’t what we can do, but what God can do in us and through us.  We need to find out what pleases the Lord and the first step in doing that is to ask Him.  The Lord has plans for us, plans to prosper us (Jeremiah 29:11), we just need to do our part and humble ourselves, pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways, and then God will hear us from heaven, and He will forgive our sin and will heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14).  We need “God’s revelation, not human speculation”.
